Anyone can have a harmonious life in this day and time , such as myself i have days and thoughts that i am having a happy life atleast my i look like it or maybe even i feel like it, i try not cheat myself out of a happy life because most important is feefling good about one self, that equals to me a harmonious life.
I think that whole concept is a little over-rated and that self actualization doesn't have to come with millions of dollars, acres of land, or three or four different cars. I truly believe that it's a inside thing. If you believe in your mind, heart, body, and soul that you are truly happy in life with what you have and dont care about attaining anything more, that's about as self-actual as it gets.
I do not think a person should be self-actualized to live a harmonious and happy life. The reason is that is if they are satisfied with themself at that point of their life then they will be happy.
I feel that a person does not have to be self actualized to live a harmonious life .I feel that it is based on the individual and their expectations for themselves and if they are currently happy in the state that their life is currently in . I feel any individual can live a happy life without being self actualized because happiness is not a level but it is an emotion it is not something that is achieved. I feel there is no price tag for happiness.
I do not think that a person has to be self actualized to live a harmonious life. I believe this because I dont think that a person can never reach their maximum potential. As long as you are living and in good health the sky is the limit as far as what you can accomplish in life.
I can only speak for myself. I am happy sometimes because I strive for improvement everyday. This is up to the individual. For me i grew up poor, not poverty level. I was getting welfare for 18 years. No father. In some areas that I know I change, I change it. But some areas I can not change I try to keep the people I love away from those areas. Self actualization happens when you overcome obstacles in your life that you thought you could not overcome. alot of things I keep hidden but self actualizations happens when i don't have to hide or be ashamed where I came from or the life I've had. I realized its not how to start but how you finish.
I don't feel that a person have to be self actualized to live a harmonious, happy life. Maybe people who view their life achievements as a way to measure their success or happiness, might find being self actualized a high importance. And for many others, making it through another day is all the challenge they desire and need!
In my opinion everyone has there own level of self actualization. It would not be fair to make a general assumption on this issue. We are all different in many respects. The different backgrounds make us who we are. What one person may seem to be self actualized may not be for another. For me personally I continue to set goals for myself to achieving self actualization. I am living my life happy and harmoniously. I feel that a person can live a happy and harmonious without being totally self actualized.
Self Actualized- A stage of personal development in which individuals reach there maximum potential.
Opon reading the definition of Self Actualization I believe that its a cycle that begins with self motivation and guidence. Each of us can obtain a personal development and reach maximum potential in areas of life. Each time we accomplish and overcome things we reach a point of self actualization and it begins again with the next challange or obstical in our life. I dont believe that we ever stop striving to be at our maximum level of potential. I also dont believe that we have to reach that maxumum level of potential to have a harmonious, happy life. Sometimes its not the road we travel thats exciting its the journey we took to get there!! thats what make us happy not some level on a chart that says we can be happy if we reach the highest box.
I think a person has to be self actualized to be happy with themself but can actually not be self actualized and live a happy life. i think if a person is not self actualized and not happy with themself they can actually still have a happy life if they are surrounded by the right seople and there partner makes them feel better than they really feel about themselves on a consistant basis.

Depending on ones familys financial structure or career field, happiness and success can be determined on an individual basis. I do believe that one should work towards their potential or goals however they should also have a healthy understanding and acceptance of their situation if unable to obtain those goals. "Self-actualization is the instinctual need of humans to make the most of their abilities and to strive to be the best they can. Working toward fulfilling our potential, toward becoming all that we are capable of becoming."
In my opinion I dont think a person has to be self-actualized to live a harmonious life. I cant speak for others what they expectations are, but when Imwhen Im striving for improvement, living out my dreams, doing what makes me happy Im okay. Its all about positive thinking. Happiness is your emotions what you are thinking. We sometime think we need a lot of money to be happy and thats not true. Its what you take what you have and make the best of it and still be happy with what you are doing or have.

My first answer was going to be no, a person does not have to be self-actualized in order to be happy. But on thinking about this more, a harmonious happy life is a result of some form of self-actualization. Perhaps everyones path to get to self-actualization is different. I am happy in life right now. I am blessed with a wonderful, husband, home, job, and church, but I still struggle with laziness. It won't be until I conquer laziness until I feel truly happy with my life. Even though I don't have millions and I don't have a glorified career, once I overcome laziness, will I become self-actualized? I will feel like it, I will truly be satisfied with my life and what I have done with it. Even though there will be more to learn and experience.
No, a person does not have to be self actualized to live a harmonious life. I don't think it's possible to reach your full potential, and even if it is, why stop there?
i think that a person has to be in tune so to speak with their self. I believe that a person never reach their highest potential because everyday we learn and we grow. So I believe that balance brings happiness not so much as how a person live.
I honestly believe that one does have to be self actualized to live a harmonious, happy life. Everyone wishes at some point and time that they had something that they didn't have, or gone somewhere they have never been, etc. to satisfy some form of happiness. You have to have a vision or someone has presented the vision to you to allow your mind to desire such a goal, dream, want or need to feel gratified, complete or in this case harmonious or happy. SLM
I can't say I agree with a person every being 100% self actualized, because at what point does one stop achieving and become completely satisfied? I think the average person continues to strive for achievement; whether or not they realize they are or not. I don't necessarily equate self actualization with wealth, because achievement can come in many forms. For instance, imagine Mother Teresa, or Gandhi; they both achieved a fulfillment, but continued to achieve greatness.
It sounds from the description that a person that is self actualized is aware of their shortcomings and are willing to accept them and work on them to become a better person. They are also aware of their strong points and are capable of using them in a positive way. These people are in tune with themselves. To say that they are happy all the time is a stretch, more like they are able to deal with what life throws at them and not let it destroy them. They seem to see that life is short and do not waste it; worry about the small stuff. I do not believe that you have to be self actualized to be happy about life. Some people need things to worry about or be concerned with to have meaning and to keep them going. What exactly is happy any way? It is hard to put my finger on it. I find that life is not about the extreme highs or lows, but the time that I can put together in the middle. My level of serenity is directly related to my expectations. I believe if the better you know yourself and are willing to accept your faults, the happier you can be.
No, I think a person can never achieve self actualization in a lifetime. Everyone is always striving to be a better person today than the were yesterday. Everyone realizes this and have a sense of self actualization by just waking up in the morning.
